Boyd O’Rourke brings three decades of experience in public accounting with his most recent experience in the areas of firm management and strategy, risk management, and quality control. As a results-driven executive and former National Practice Leader of a top-10 accounting firm, Boyd is recognized for his ability to build processes, teams, and culture that drive organizational success. His leadership is defined by vision, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering results.   

Prior to joining JGA, Boyd held multiple senior roles at CBIZ CPAs (formerly Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C.), including Executive Committee Member, National Practice Leader, Chief Risk and Quality Officer, National Director of Quality Control, and National Training Director. Boyd’s experience also includes more than a decade at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he managed assurance and advisory services, led Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls attestations, and championed professional development initiatives. 

Boyd’s technical expertise spans firm-level strategy, risk assessment, corporate governance, independence, quality control systems, SEC reporting and compliance, training program design, and mergers and acquisitions. He has also served clients across several industries including commercial and general manufacturing, construction, consumer products, automotive, service, technology, real estate and not-for-profit.

Boyd holds CPA licenses in Missouri, Kansas, and Iowa, and is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Iowa, graduating with high distinction.
